Piece has been on display around the world
A special sideboard has been placed on permanent display at the site of the former Knockaloe internment camp in the west of the Island.
Designed by Scottish architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh it was crafted by imprisoned craftsmen as part of a World War I commission by Wenman Joseph Bassett-Lowke.
A historically significant piece, the sideboard has previously been displayed at world-renowned museums such as The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, The Art Institute of Chicago and The Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
Its return to the Island forms part of a new exhibition display at the visitor centre which is open to the public between 10am and 3pm Tuesday to Thursday.
