Firefighters still on scene at Regent Street restaurant
Firefighters are dealing with the aftermath of a 'significant fire' in Douglas this morning.
Regent Street was cordoned off just after 3:30am after emergency services received a 999 call alerting them to smoke billowing from a first floor restaurant.
Douglas and Laxey crews tackled the blaze in the kitchen area - which was started by an appliance.
It was extinguished just after 5am.
Officers are still at the scene dealing with hotspots - it's expected the fire will be investigated later today.
