Minister hopes disruption will be kept to a minimum
The infrastructure minister is asking road users to be patient as the next phase of works on Douglas promenade gets underway.
Ray Harmer has confirmed a significant amount of work will begin this week, including concrete filling-in and service crossings for water mains.
The road will remain open to traffic in both directions throughout the duration of the scheme, which is due to be completed next year.
Mr Harmer hopes this, along with additional parking, will help limit the disruption:
