Infrastructure minister admits shortened route could have played a part
The infrastructure minister's admitted the horse tram's shortened route could have played a part in a significant reduction in passengers this season.
In the House of Keys, Tim Crookall revealed there were only 45,000 passengers in 2023 compared with 78,000 in 2018.
The decision was made to only initially install the tramways to the war memorial when work to reconstruct Douglas Prom was late and over budget.
