Manx Care chief exec responds to RCN ballot results
Manx Care needs to be aware of a 'significant risk' posed by nurses taking industrial action when the healthcare provider plans for this year's TT races.
That's from the board's Chief Executive Teresa Cope after the Royal College of Nursing voted in favour of action, having rejected the latest pay offer from Manx Care.
Mrs Cope says the organisation remains in dispute with a number of unions over the last two years' pay deals.
With strong support for action in the RCN ballot, she warns the health service needs to be prepared:
