Tynwald has remembered a former Bishop of Sodor and Mann.
Noel Debroy Jones, who held the position from 1989 to 2003, passed away in the summer, after a short illness.
President Noel Cringle told Tynwald he had been 'a thought provoking preacher and a traditionalist, who often used humour in his down to earth style from the pulpit'.
He commented on how popular he had been on the Island and in a previous role as a naval chaplain, describing him as a real character who had a full and active life (play audio file):
The court stood in silence for a few moments to mark Bishop Noel's passing.
