
Ramsey MHK Leonard Singer is resigning from his position on the board of the Post Office today.
He made the announcement during a protest march in Ramsey on Saturday, where around 300 people turned up to voice opposition to the plans to move their crown office into a local branch of Spar.
Mr Singer also put forward a plan to save both Ramsey's and Douglas's main post offices by raising the cost of postage.
He also explained how he was asked to leave the last Post Office meeting he attended when they came to talk about their plans in Ramsey:
