Comes into effect on 19 October
Businesses are being reminded by the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture about the forthcoming ban of single-use plastics.
It comes into effect in the Island on 19 October.
From that date it will be illegal to sell or distribute items such as straws, carrier bags or any other similar product that can't be re-used.
However, DEFA member Michelle Haywood says there will be exemptions including plastic pint pots used to hold drinks such as beer:
