The sirens of the All Island Public Warning System were set off in Ramsey this morning by mistake.
The system was activated at 1030hrs after repair work being carried out on a generator at the fire station kick-started the siren.
It has now been silenced and a all clear siren has been sounded.
There has NOT been an emergency. The whole network (except at Mount Murray) will be routinely tested tomorrow (Sat).
