Education minister congratulates individuals
University College Isle of Man has praised the efforts of six prisoners, who have all passed their GCSE English exam, whilst serving time.
Currently 55 per cent of the Isle of Man Prison population participates in some kind of education offered by UCM.
There are a number of courses offered as part of rehabilitation, including GCSEs and A Levels.
Education Minister Dr Alex Allinson has congratulated the individuals, and says he hopes it will be seen as an opportunity to progress in the future.
