
Four local men and two from England have appeared before High Bailiff Michael Moyle, on charges relating to the alleged importation and supply of £32,800 worth of cannabis.
Nicholas Kyle James Newton and Geoffrey Ronald Barber, both aged 22 and from Douglas, are accused of a number of offences relating to the haul, including possessing the drug with intent to supply, and importing and possessing it.
Twenty-three year-old Martin David Kewley and 20 year-old Guy James Ellison, both of Onchan, face similar charges, as do 40 year-old Darren Matthews and 50 year-old Anthony Marion Gil, both from Liverpool.
In addition, Mr Matthews and Mr Gil are charged with drug trafficking offences.
All the men were remanded in custody until 12 noon on Tuesday, when they are due to appear before Mr Moyle again.
