A previous skatepark was decommissioned in 2019
A skatepark development in Laxey is due to open in spring next year.
Garff Commissioners received planning permission to build the park and are now liaising with contractors for installation of the ground works.
The skatepark will be built next to the existing tennis and basketball courts on Glen Road.
Groundworks will begin once the flood defence work in the area is completed.
Other enhancements for the area will be put in once the commissioners have discussed and finalised the details.
