Deal's former sceptic defends colleague
The Health and Social Care Minister has come to the defence of economic development boss Laurence Skelly over the Vision Nine contract fiasco.
Mr Skelly confirmed his department's deal with the promoter to run TT and the Festival of Motorcycling, had collapsed on Monday.
The London firm has severely criticised the DED's handling of the partnership, saying the ill-fated venture has proved costly, in both money and reputation.
Vision Nine is now preparing to take legal action against the Isle of Man Government.
As a backbencher Kate Beecroft was highly sceptical of the tie-up proposal and the tender process, from the start.
Now in the Council of Ministers, she says some of the criticism being levelled at Mr Skelly is unjust:
