Project inspired by trip to west coast of Scotland
A boat specially built by a Manx community group will take to the water today (Saturday) after almost a year’s work.
The St. Ayles skiff is a four-oared rowing boat which is designed to be launched and rowed from anywhere.
Two more are to be built to facilitate the foundation of the ‘Laxey Coastal Rowing Club’.
The boat will leave from the Shore Hotel in Laxey at 3pm.
