MU team to investigate following reports of sewage in the bay
Following reports of sewage on Peel beach over the weekend, Manx Utilities says it's identified a 'potential small issue' with a buried manhole adjacent to the sea wall.
The MU insists it's not the cause of what it calls 'naturally occurring foam and scum', adding 'no discharge of solid matter' has been seen coming from it.
However, as a precautionary measure, its teams are digging down to investigate tomorrow morning (13 February) and also take samples of the foam for analysis.
