Company investigation found no blocking taking place
Manx Telecom says it's aware of a small number of customers experiencing difficulties with SMS text verification codes while logging into apps and websites.
The company says it understands the importance of seamless authentication processes and takes the matter seriously.
A full investigation by Manx Telecom's in-house network team has verified there is no blocking taking place on their network of inbound SMS.
MT told Manx Radio that depending on the app, website or SMS text delivery partners, an automated verification SMS might not reach customers due to service configuration or restriction on a particular route.
This can be dependent on the location of the sending SMS service provider third party, or carrier interconnect agreements not existing between two or more network providers in the process.
If you don't receive a verification SMS after requesting one, the advice is to where possible request one of your App or online account's alternative delivery methods such as email or voice call verification.
