Steam Packet hopes to have vessel back on normal schedule as soon as possible
The Steam Packet Company says a technical issue that delayed the overnight Manxman sailing from Heysham has been rectified.
The vessel's 2.15am departure was delayed until just after 3.45am, and the late arrival in Douglas has had a knock-on effect on today's schedule.
The operator says Manxman's engineering team identified and quickly rectified a small technical issue, resulting in the delay.
Because of today's disruption, a replacement coach service will be available for passengers who were planning to take the train from Heysham to Lancaster.
The Steam Packet says all affected passengers have been notified, and it's hoping to have the vessel back on her normal schedule as soon as possible.
No further details about the technical issue have been released.
