Quit4You offering help and support during October
People on the Isle of Man are being encouraged to quit the habit this October.
Tomorrow (1 October) marks the start of ‘Stoptober’ – a month where those who smoke are given support to stop.
Quit4You offers expert advice from trained advisors – 110 people have quit smoking, with the service’s support, since the start of the year.
According to a recent lifestyle survey, carried out on the Island, nearly 10,000 adults have admitted to smoking.
Manager Susan Saunders told Manx Radio, compared to the UK, the Island does well in terms of managing it:
