Police to review decision later
Snow is covering a number of roads around the Island this morning.
Police have closed the entirety of the Mountain Road due to 'slippy, icy' conditions.
Gritters have been out overnight to protect main routes from the sleet and snow as temperatures hover around freezing.
Officers from the Constabulary Roads and Policing Unit will be reviewing the decision to shut the road throughout the day.
Story update - the Mountain Road reopened late this morning - Police are warning there could be ice and further snow overnight so the situation is being closely monitored.
