DoI Minister Tim Crookall says delays due to framework 'redesign'
The infrastructure minister has confirmed that the new income thresholds for social housing will be introduced in Autumn.
Tim Crookall told the House of Keys that there have been delays to the new policy because the DoI had to 'redesign' the threshold framework.
He did not confirm whether there would be an increase in housing to ensure new tenants would have somewhere to go and not put pressure on 'unsustainable' waiting lists.
In 2023 the income thresholds were raised by 14 percent (£3,500) - for a single applicant with no children the maximum is £34,500.
Whilst joint applicants with three children have a limit on earnings of £50,500.
Mr Crookall told the House of Keys that the new thresholds are being brought in 'as fast as possible':
