Overhaul not the answer
A government minister says small tweaks are preferable to a root-and-branch overhaul of the child social care system.
Earlier this month, Tynwald received the results of an 18 month investigation into family services, along with a government review of the findings.
Paul Burnett's report identified flaws in staffing and communication between service users and social workers, detailing recommendations to improve the system in the future.
Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas says many of those have now been implemented and progress is being closely monitored:
