
The only politician to vote against the 2011 Manx budget has been talking about why he did so.
Onchan MHK Peter Karran believes most of the measures it contains are worthy of praise, but says he is unhappy that what he sees as a significant group has been overlooked.
He says his mind was made up by a lack of support for those who earn just too much to be eligible for benefits, but struggle to make ends meet on a monthly basis:
