Former Infrastructure Minister says proposals to restrict parking aren't a 'vendetta' against motorhome owners
Problems caused by motorhomes and large vehicles parking in residential areas need to be tackled, despite concern from those who own such vehicles.
That's from former Infrastructure Minister Chris Thomas, who was in charge of the department when the plans to prevent campervans, commercial vehicles and other large vehicles from parking overnight in speed restricted areas were drawn up.
Local authorities have been notified of the proposals, and the Douglas Central MHK says there's likely to be a public consultation before any changes are brought in.
