Infrastructure Minister David Cretney says the wreck of the Solway Harvester will be disposed of in the near future – but there’s still no deadline date.
This morning in the House of Keys, he faced questions on the issue from Ramsey MHK Leonard singer about the vessel’s future.
Mr Cretney said the department felt the scallop dredger should be broken up, and had informed the families of the crew who lost their lives aboard her 12 years ago.
He explained she’d been kept in Douglas harbour because she might be used as evidence in future court cases.
