NSC closing as precaution
Roads have been opening again following heavy rain and flooding across the Island.
The Mountain Road is now open again after being closed for several hours as is the Tromode Road and Braaid to St Marks Road. The Liverpool Arms Straight from the Garey Road to Groudle Road is also now listed as passable with care.
However, the A3 between Ballig Bridge and Kirk Michael remains closed after the river burst it's banks around Glen Helen and the Groudle Road to King Edward Bay is closed as is the bridge between Dalby and the Roundtable.
The roads between Peel and Patrick and Patrick to St John's remain closed.
It's also been announced that the National Sports Centre in Douglas is to close at 4pm. Operators say it's as a precaution, as nearby river levels are very high and there are concerns the bank may burst.
Neil Young from Ronaldsway Met Office says the worst of the rain should be over, but flooding problems could continue for some time.
