Court hearing for 24-year-old
A court's heard a drunken Port Erin man argued with his mother and barricaded her in her own bedroom with a ladder.
Twenty-four-year-old Brandon James Robley, of Fairyhill Close, appeared at Douglas Courthouse.
He pleaded guilty to causing criminal damage on 3 November.
Robley had been drinking at home with a friend before the row at around 1am.
He lost his temper when his mother complained about his loud music and took away a speaker he was using.
In response Robley began shouting and swearing before shutting her in her bedroom.
A neighbour called police and officers arrived to find he'd broken a tumble dryer and pulled a door from its hinges.
Magistrates ordered him to spend a year under the supervision of the probation service and pay £50 towards prosecution costs.
