Former Commonwealth cyclist speaks to Manx Radio
A Manxman living in South Africa says he's had to cancel a festive family trip to the Island due to the travel restrictions imposed on flights leaving the country.
It follows the detection of a new variant of Covid-19 there called Omicron.
The daughters of Steve Porter, who represented the Isle of Man as a cyclist at the Commonwealth Games, were due to spend Christmas at their grandparents' home in Onchan.
He told Manx Radio the current situation is understandable but still frustrating:
