Procedure was followed, says chairman
Procedures were followed correctly, but we can always learn from an incident.
The view of Southern 100 Club Chairman Phil Taubman, who's been speaking after an inquest into the death of Pre-TT Classic competitor Dean Martin raised questions, according to Coroner of Inquests John Needham.
Mr Martin's fatal crash was followed almost immediately by a second incident.
A bike ridden by Jamie O'Brien seemingly didn't see red and yellow flags and plowed into the smoky, dusty crash scene, injuring himself and two marshals in the process.
Visibility reportedly was not helped by a fire extinguisher which had been used to put out the flames coming from Mr Martin's bike.
