Annual event moves to Orrisdale Farm
The Southern District Agricultural Show is set to go ahead this July, as long as lockdown restrictions are lifted as planned.
Organisers are preparing for the event to be held on Saturday, 31 July and 1 August.
In a change of tradition though the show is to move from Great Meadow Estate in Castletown to Orrisdale Farm in Ballasalla.
The annual staple has been at Great Meadow for almost 50 years - but the move has been put down to 'modern farming pressures' making the large event difficult to accommodate.
