Decision said to have been made purely on "financial grounds"
A recommendation has been made to close the Southern Swimming Pool at the end of March.
Manx Radio has seen a letter citing an outcome of a meeting between the board, the education minister and her chief executive.
It claims that, in February's sitting of Tynwald, Julie Edge will recommend the total closure of the pool - a decision said to have been made purely on "financial grounds".
The decision will be subject to Tynwald approval.
