
The Island wouldn't be the way it is today if it wasn't for Illiam Dhone.
That's according to Speaker of the House of Keys, Steve Rodan, who was in attendance at the 350th anniversary of Dhone's death.
Around 100 people attended the service at Hango Hill in Castletown in memory of a man who many believe helped preserve the Island's independence.
Mr Rodan says the Island owes a great debt to Dhone:
