Party thrown at Castle View Nursing Home for Mildred Earnshaw
It was a special day at the Castle View Nursing home in Peel yesterday (Wednesday 25 June).
Resident, Mildred Earnshaw celebrated her 102nd birthday, with a party thrown by staff at the home, and a visit from His Excellency Lieutenant Governor, Sir John Lorimer.
Mildred, who moved to the Isle of Man before World War 2, worked for many years in the Isle of Man Bank and was a well known and popular resident of Onchan village.
