Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving to be held today
An annual service will see those whose lives have been touched by organ donation come together in remembrance and thanksgiving.
It all gets underway at 2pm today (6 December) at St George’s Church on upper Church Street in Douglas.
Founder of Organ Donation Isle of Man Diane Taylor says everyone is welcome:
Organ Donation Isle of Man, Transplant Isle of Man, NHSBT and the Organ Donation Committee from Nobles Hospital are inviting anyone whose lives have been touched by organ donation or transplant to join them for the service.
It will be taken by the Venerable Archdeacon Irene Cowell.
A special part of the service is lighting a candle in memory of a loved one or donor.
This year attendees will be given a glass tea light holder with special labels available for those who would like to make them more personal.
Light refreshments will be served after the service.
