Two bystanders receiving treatment in the UK
** UPDATE, 2.18PM (26/5/26): Organisers have now clarified the prohibited area will be at Albert Square in Ramsey, after the exit of Parliament Square**
Spectators will not be able to use the viewing area at Parliament Square for the remainder of the 2026 TT Races.
It's after a serious incident there yesterday involving a biker and eight people, which resulted in two bystanders being airlifted to the UK for specialist care.
The rider and other spectators have since been discharged.
Organisers of the event say that, given the unusual nature of the incident, and following a safety review, the precautionary measure has been implemented.
It adds while a multi-agency investigation into the incident is underway, a number of immediate measures have been identified and brought in ahead of any further activity on the course this evening.
