
Speed is probably the main cause of accidents on the Island's roads during TT 2012.
That's the view of Highways Director Richard Pearson, who's about to begin a close analysis of serious incidents over the two week period with police colleagues.
In the past, reviews have identified a pattern, highlighting problems at a particular junction or corner.
This year, however, Mr Pearson says speed and lack of familiarity with the roads seem to be behind most accidents:
