Passengers travelling to and from Liverpool on the Viking today are being warned they could get caught up in an extraordinary event.
A 50 foot high mechanical spider will be stalking the streets of the city throughout the day, and will be in and around the Cunard Building, alongside the Pier Head area, from about 11am.
The Steam Packet says motorists can expect traffic congestion and road closures, and there will be similar possible disruption to travel arrangements when the £1.8 million street theatre production moves to the city centre later in the day.
