
A two week film shoot in the Island is set to provide a boost to the local economy and raise the profile of Manx locations for movie-makers.
An 80-strong crew arrived on Monday (14 April) to begin shooting on-location scenes for a new film version of the spy drama Spooks.
The movie follows a terrorist who escapes from M15 custody during a routine handover, with Jennifer Ehle, Peter Firth and Game of Thrones star Kit Harington in lead roles.
A series of road closures are in place in and around Douglas during the shoot, which continues throughout the Easter weekend.
The Spooks film is based on the award-winning BBC One series and is due in cinemas in 2015.
