Outlet on three floors at Strand Centre
UK retailer Sports Direct quietly opened its Isle of Man branch yesterday afternoon.
The so-called 'concept megastore' - which also includes sister fashion chain USC - is spread across three floors in the Strand Shopping Centre, Douglas.
It's the culmination of more than a year's redevelopment works, after the giant bought out the building last July.
Sports Direct, which is owned by the controversial businessman Mike Ashley, generated almost £280 million in profit last year.
The Douglas outlet will be open daily from this morning at 9am. (Sat)
