The governing body of squash in the Isle of Man says the decision by Onchan Commissioners to allow courts to be converted into a new dance studio is very disappointing.
Last week the district authority voted to award the lease on the facilities at Onchan Park to the Western School of Dance.
It means courts considered by many to be the best in the Island, are set to disappear.
Commissioners' chairman Brian Stowell has publicly criticised the Squash Rackets Association for failing to mount a credible bid to take over the facilities, and has predicted the row will become acrimonious.
But association chairman Michael Hayler says the SRA's only interest is in the sport:
