There's some festive first aid advice on offer from St John Ambulance to help Island residents avoid spoiling their Christmas and new year break.
The charity's issued a summary of how to treat mishaps in the home - from burns and shocks in the kitchen to injuring yourself playing with new gadgets and toys.
Across the UK around 80,000 people will go to hospital over the festive holiday period - that's almost the population of the Isle of Man!
Children under five and people over 65 are most liable to have an accident in the home.
So be prepared and plan ahead, is the advice from St John Ambulance co-ordinator in the Island Phil Bennett:

Isle of Man inflation eases slightly to 2.8% in October
Progress on autism strategy welcomed
Paper car tax discs cost DOI £7,500 each month
