Two-day ASIST course to be offered
St John Ambulance is to run courses to educate people on suicide intervention support for the first time.
The organisation is well-known for first aid and mental health awareness initiatives and will shortly start delivering the ASIST course (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training).
Suicide prevention trainer John Kermode says the two-day course is widely used and he's grateful it is being added to the offering:
