The 2010 Tell Me Project has been launched along with a book, containing over 50 interviews, from the 2009 initiative.
'Tell Me', now in its second year, involves students from the Island's primary and secondary schools making recordings, as they find out about the experiences of relatives or members of the armed forces in the over 60s age group.
Many of the recordings have featured on Manx Radio at various times.
The Gold Award for the best interview in 2009 went to Jack Gibney, a year ten student at St Ninian's High School.
He spoke to former member of Tynwald Brigadier Norman Butler who also received a prize, for being the best interviewees.
Jack says the Brigadier had some fascinating stories:
Firearms amnesty comes into effect
Chickenpox jab to become part of routine childhood vaccinations
Hark! Claims school didn't allow Christmas carols to be sung "rumour" and "hearsay", says minister
