School campus scheme offers 'plenty more room'
Pupils at St Thomas' School in Douglas are moving to a better learning environment at Scoill Vallajeelt - so says the Island's Education minister Graham Cregeen.
His department yesterday (Wed 14) announced it would 'co-locate' the Church of England school to Vallajeelt - both will operate from the same buildings, but independently of each other.
Mr Cregeen says there's more than enough room at the Saddlestone site for both sets of students, with capacity for 350 schoolchildren.
He told Manx Radio the change made sense as it was clear St Thomas' was outdated:
