But the cause of the landslide appears to be unknown
Work to make safe an unstable bank behind a landmark Laxey warehouse is underway, after a significant landslide last month.
Six trees have had to be felled and work to repair a damaged sluice will follow.
The warehouse, previously a film studio, is used by Laxey based Swales Flooring.
Proprietor Phil Swales is also owner of a house on Old Laxey Hill which has lain empty since a landslide there two years ago.
Garff MHK, Andrew Smith, who's funding the current work, says the cause of the landslide, which followed heavy rain is open to conjecture:
