North Douglas MHK Bill Henderson says government departments are too quick to consider cutting staff numbers when they come under pressure to save money from budgets.
In the House of Keys on Tuesday, he’ll quiz Home Affairs Minister Adrian Earnshaw about proposed redundancies in his department, Home Affairs.
In a second question, he’ll ask Chief Minister Tony Brown what the government’s policy is on making people redundant.
Mr Henderson says layoffs seem to be one of the first options when it comes to cutting spending.
