Two employees at the Isle of Man probation service are currently working towards gaining professional qualifications via the Open University.
The scheme is being funded by the Department of Home Affairs and is proving instrumental in overcoming some of the training obstacles encountered in the past.
Chief Probation Officer David Sellick (pictured) says he believes the scheme provides a good compromise in providing professional development for Manx staff:

'Too early to tell' what caused fire
Firefighting foam may have killed fish in Silverburn River
Additional road closure for TT filming ahead of MGP qualifying
'Knives and sharp implements' left outside charity shops
