Unions representing the Steam Packet's 300-strong workforce are launching a campaign to highlight concerns over jobs and passengers services, as the battle for freight business between the Isle of Man and the United Kingdom continues.
Nautilus, the RMT and Unite represent the ferry company's officers, crew, dockers and shore workers.
They say the Manx economy and passenger services will suffer, if competition from Mezeron's container freight service continues to squeeze the Packet's viability.
Tomorrow (Saturday), the unions will leaflet the public in Douglas, raising those concerns.
