Admission made by Treasury Minister
Low staffing levels are to blame for delays to 'normal working practices and processing times' in the income tax division.
Treasury Minister Alf Cannan made the admission in a written response to a Tynwald question.
He noted that the shortage had resulted in slower processing of income tax returns at times by the division this financial year.
However, it was also stated that a successful recruitment drive had been undertaken, in efforts to combat the issue.
