New addition to long-standing festival
The Manx Music, Speech & Dance Festival, commonly known as the Guild, will break new ground this year.
There will be be a stand-up comedy class for the first time in its 127-year history.
Competitors will have up to seven minutes to impress the adjudicators, and receive as many laughs as possible.
The class is open to adults whose 19th birthday has fallen or will fall before 31 August this year.
People's routines must be also suitable for a family audience.
This year's Guild takes place between Saturday, 27 April and Saturday, 4 May at the Villa Marina.
The deadline for entries for all classes is Saturday, 9 February.
