There's a great opportunity for people with a mental health problem to take a big step towards recovery this week.
On Wednesday, the Star Club in Derby Square will be holding an open day to raise its profile and encourage new members to join.
The club is somewhere anyone with a mental illness can go to seek friendship, support and understanding.
It's a non-medical facility, which means members are not assessed in any way while they are there.
They can choose to take part in a wide range of activities, or just go along to spend a day in an accepting environment.
Members representative and media officer Stephen Moyce says initially he found the idea of going to the club very daunting, but taking that first step changed life (play attached audio file):
Wednesday's open day will run from 10am to 4pm, at the Star (or Steps To Aid Recovery) Club, 26-27 Derby Square, Douglas.
